The Best Raw Vegan Brownie Recipe

This recipe will change your life, I know it changed mine. It made me (a carnivore) look at vegan food in a completely new light. Its not all lentils and salads, it can also satisfying and delicious even for a meat lover. I've been a longtime reader of the blog Table Tonic, and years ago Louis made a post about Power Balls (which I also made and they are delicious) where she also mentioned this recipe from the food blog My New Roots. The blog is written by a raw food chef in Denmark, and her recipes are all amazing.
These raw vegan "brownies" are as tasty as they are healthy! I usually roll them up in golf size balls and cover in unsweetened coconut shreds. My kids love them and they only take a few minutes to make. They are the perfect snack especially if you crave some sweet cocoa taste!
The best advice I can give for making these is to use good quality ingredients! Medjool dates (like these) are the only option, cooking dates are too dry and flavorless. Also get good quality raw dutch cocoa powder, it makes a world of a difference. If you do not have enough dates, you can always substitute some banana. Garnish with shredded coconut, crumbled walnuts and dust with cocoa powder and voila la!
